Hi Luvs,
Sorry I haven’t written in a while, I got side tracked planning an upcoming vacation. I am finally going home to spend some time with my dad and family. That usually puts me in my own world and I forget about everything else.
Anyway beauty waits for no one, back to the world of fabulous skin. Now many of you may notice that I am not brand loyal. While there are many good reasons to stick to what works for you, I have my reasons for constantly changing my skin routine. Each product is made with it’s own key ingredient/ingredients. If you look at the ingredient lists on product bottles, NO product has every nutrient that is beneficial to your skin listed. So if you kept using one product for years, you would be depriving your skin of some key nutrients. Now while the product you use may be good for your skincare concerns, long term lack of certain nutrients can lead to other skin problems.
Think of it in terms of diet, while we know that eggs are good for you, you would not eat eggs alone right? Well why do you keep feeding your face the same meal everyday. If your face was your date they would we complaining by now, “don’t you know any other restaurants? we’re going to eat that again? how many times are we going to eat this crap? is this diet over yet?”. Maybe I’m just a bad date but a girl likes options, there isn’t a single meal that I love enough to live exclusively on it for more than a day.
Now you may not need anything other than your regular moisturizer because you get everything else from your diet. But honestly when was the last time you stuck to a balanced diet, 8 hrs of sleep (on a regular basis) and took your multivitamins? Take you’re time, I’ll wait… Seriously comment your answer to that question below, now I’m seriously curious. Truth be told I started a 1 month course of vitamins 3 months ago and more than half the vitamins are still in that bottle. This is why I’m always trying different skin care products, it’s sometimes easier to try something new and exciting than to stick with the old and boring.
Today I’m going to talk about a new indie brand Navere Natural skincare. Recently I had the pleasure of trying their new line and I love it! Their line is a wonderful 4 step routine that will leave your skin hydrated and glowing! Navere is Cruelty FREE and their products are made with 100% natural and organic ingredients. I tried their Renewing Face Wash, Clarifying Toner, Replenishing Serum and Hydrating Moisturizing Treatment!
Step one: The Renewing Face Wash.
The Renewing Face Wash is made with:
Deionized Water, Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Citrus Aurantium (Orange Distillate Water), Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (from coconuts), Cocamide MIPA, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Olea Europaea (Olive Oil), Organic Rosa Canina (Rose Hip Oil), Wildcrafted Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea), Wildcrafted Mahonia Aquifolium (Oregon Grape), Organic Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice), Organic Myrica Cerifera (Bayberry), Organic Capsicum Annuum var. Aannuum (Cayenne), Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry), Organic Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry), Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry Seed Oil), Hippophae Rhamnoides (Seabuckthorn Oil), Borago Officinalis (Borage Oil), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange Peel Tincture), Origanum Compactum (Oregano Oil), Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin, Organic Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola Extract), Organic Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail Plant Extract), Organic Pelagonium Gravoleons (Geranium Extract), Organic Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion Extract).
The most notable from this list is: Vitamin C, Green Tea, Oregon Grape, Bayberry, Blueberry, Cranberry and Seabuckthorn. These ingredients clean, hydrate and protect your skin.
I have dry skin so hydrating cleansers are a plus. Unfortunately, some brands fall short with this concept. While you want hydration, you certainly don’t want your skin oily after using a cleanser and while you want your skin clean, if you have dry sensitive skin, you don’t want you’re skin stripped and burning after you wash it. The Navere Renewing Face Wash is dry skin approved!
Step two: Clarifying Toner
The Navere Natural Skincare Clarifying Toner is made with:
Organic Lavandula Augustifolia (Lavender Distillate), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Caprylyl Capryl Glucoside, Wildcrafted Salix Alba (Willow Bark), Eugenia Caryophyllata (Clove Essential Oil- for effect, not for smell), Wildcrafted Juniperus Communis (Juniper Extract), Organic Capsicum Annuum var. Aannuum (Cayenne Extract), Panthenol (Vitamin B5).
While some may find toner an outdated beauty product, it does serve a unique purpose. Toners are deep cleaners. They continue to clean your pores after you have washed your face. They remove dirty and excess oils. You can spritz toner onto your face with a spray bottle or apply it with a cotton ball. In generally this is a product you want to be careful with if you have dry skin. Since toners remove excess oils, they can make dry skin even more dehydrated. I still use toners despite my dry skin but only after make up removal. And I’m always careful to follow up with a hydrating moisturizer.
The Navere Clarifying toner helps deal with blemishes naturally by using the deep cleaning power of Lavender Distillate which helps to heal and treat blemishes, Witch Hazel which tones and tighten pores, MSM whichdrive ingredients into skin and willow bark derived salicylic acid to relieve oily and blemished skin. If you have oily skin you may want to try using this toner 2x a day. For severely oil skin I would keep some in a travel sized spray bottle to refresh your face between washing.
Step Three: Navere Replenishing Serum.
The replenishing serum is made with:
Deionized Aqua (Water), Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Aloe), Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide (Plant Based Hyaluronic Acid), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), d-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Carbomer, Arginine, Ferulic Acid, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Phenoxyethanol, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin, Organic Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola Extract), Organic Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail Plant Extract), Organic Pelagonium Gravoleons (Geranium Extract), Organic Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion Extract).
Deionized Aqua (Water), Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Arginine, Organic Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender), Wildcrafted Symphtum Officinale (Comfrey), Organic Echinacea Purpurea (Echinacea), Organic Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola), Organic Salvia Officinalis (Sage), Organic Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme), Organic Hydrastis Canadensis (Goldenseal), Wildcrafted Resina Propoli (Propolis), Organic Avena Sativa (Oat), Organic Curcuma Longa (Turmeric), Organic Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice), Santalum Album (Sandalwood Essential Oil), Melissa Officinalis (Melissa Essential Oil), Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium Essential Oil), Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Organic Aloe Barbardensis Leaf (Aloe Vera Extract), Organic Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola Extract), Organic Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail Plant Extract), Organic Pelagonium Gravoleons (Geranium Extract), Organic Taraxacum Officinale (Dandelion Extract)
This is one super hydrating formula. It has the consistency of greek yogurt and is just as good for your face. This moisturizer is so hydrating that I would not use it in the summer. I’m going to keep this one handy for winter. While I have dry skin sometimes in the summer it can be normal skin so it doesn’t need as much moisturizer. But in the winter when my face is burning and peeling off this is exactly what I’ll need. You can use this under Make up but I would wait at least 10 minutes for it to absorb into the skin before moving on to make up application.
A little warning, these product do not have perfumes in them. That is a good thing because the alcohol from perfumes can dry out your face but sometimes the scent of unscented products can be shocking if it is not expected. This does not smell bad but it does not have that sweet perfume scent that you may expect. The products have very earthy scents.

Nice. May I know how often do you change your skin care products? Is it recommended to stick to just one routine which suits the dry skin or try other products as well?
