I hope everyone is having a beautiful summer. Lately it has been rainy and over cast in New York. Today I’m going to tell you about one of my new favourite brands Huroo Huroo! Lately I have joined the hype about Korean beauty products and so far I have not been disappointed. Huroo Huroo products are made in South Korea, now while shopping for beauty products from abroad may not seem enticing because of international shipping fees, duties, scams, etc, the good news is, you can buy Huroo Huroo from reliable American distributors. I get my Huroo Huroo products from The Beauty Spy when they are in stock. You’ll have to keep checking their website as these sell out quickly and for good reasons. Let’s get to the actual products…
My Favourite product from Huroo Huroo is their Essential Cleansing Granule. It’s also my favourite cleansers. It is a powder that transforms into a soapy cleanser when you mix it with water. Because I travel a lot this is great because it is so light. You may think the weight of a cleanser is negligible but when you have to pack a million things for all the ‘what ifs’ that can occur with toddlers, any means of reducing weight is a blessing.
The Huroo Huroo Essential Cleansing Granule is made with: Zea Mays(Corn) Starch, Lactose, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Salix Alba(Willow)Bark Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, TEA-Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Myristoyl Glutamate,TEA-Lauroyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate, Methylparaben and Allantoin. It’s an effective cleanser to remove dead skin and dirt. It is an exfoliater but it is so gentle that it doesn’t dry out your skin. I have dry and sensitive skin, most exfoliating products dry out my skin and make it more sensitive. This is one of the few products I can use to exfoliate my skin without issue.
I also use the Huroo Huroo essential cleansing granule as a make up remover. It’s so effective at gently breaking down those long wear make up products that they are gone without a trace. Most make up removing oils lift the make up off your skin and you are left with an oily mess in your sink or wash cloth. So you wind up having to remove the make up 2x, once from your face and the other from your sink/tub or wash cloth. With the Essential cleansing granule, there is no reside and stains left behind and it all goes down the sink effortlessly. You are left with clean glowing skin that is white towel safe and no mess!
Another Huroo Huroo product that I love is their 4D Shape Memory Hydrating Mask. Of all the sheet masks I have tried, the material of this sheet mask feels the most luxurious. It feels like actual cloth and not paper. It extends beyond the face to cover your jawline an area which most beauty products neglect. You have face creams and neck creams but many people forget about that transition area. You apply the sheet mast from chin and then move up. It’s warm and hydrating. This is a must try for all of us who suffer with dry skin.
The Huroo Huroo 4D Shape Memory Hydrating Mask contains: Water, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil ,Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Polianthes Tuberosa Polysaccharide, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Sucrose Stearate, Sucrose Distearate, Squalane, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Potassium, Cetyl Phosphate, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pulsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata(Lichen) Extract, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Beta-Glucan, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract, Raffinose, Saccharide Isomerate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, PEG-240/HDI Copolymer Bis-Decyltetradeceth-20 Ether, Sodium Hyaluronate and Disodium EDTA.
Macadamia Oil is high in monounsaturated fatty acids. This moisturizes, regenerates and softens your skin. This is an ingredient I like to see in my skincare products. It is gaining the fame of Argan Oil and will soon be equally prevalent as an ingredient in hair and skin care products. Another ingredient I am happy to see in this mask is Mango Extract. Mango has so many amazing benefits but the most relevant for the scope of this blog spot is its anti-aging properties, acne fighting abilities and ability to repair skin cells. Mango is high in antioxidants and phytochemicals which helps protect from damage caused by free radicals. Free radical damage can cause aging or even cancer. Mango also contains beta-carotene and vitamin C both of which are essential for the repair of skin cells.
Last, but certainly not least another product from Huroo Huroo that I love is their Highlight Pop face brightener. This product gives you a gorgeous natural glow. If you are new to using highlighters, then you probably don’t like looking like you are covered in glitter 24/7, with this highlighter, the glow is so natural it is hard to tell that you are wearing highlighter. Some highlighters leave a white hue even when not reflecting light but this one goes on so smooth and natural, it looks like the light is bouncing of your skin and not like you used glitter to glow. It comes as such a cute compact with an applicator brush and mirror. There are two shades, a light golden shade for all over glow and a brown for contouring/bronzing. I recently used this is my Cleopatra look.
As you can see there are so many good things about Huroo Huroo and they have so many products that I have yet to try. You can probably expect another post from me about Huroo Huroo. There will definitely be more posts about Korean Beauty products!
