Drunk Elephant Protini Powerpeptide Resurf Serum

Drunk Elephant just launched their new Protini Powerpeptide Resurf Serum and I am excited to share my thoughts on this product with you. As you all know I frequently us the Protini Polypeptide Cream which strengthens and moisturizes your skin, when I received the serum I initially thought it would do the same but it’s designed to strengthen and resurface your skin.

What you should know:
*While it’s fun to make skincare cocktails with your Drunk Elephant products, you should not combine the Protini Power Peptide Resurf Serum with T.L.C. Franboos or Baby facial, in fact you should not used those products on the same day. These products each provide a gentle chemical exfoliation and when combined it can become too powerful and less gentle.

For this product I did not break down every ingredient because the list is just so long but I explained the first few ingredients as those at the ones in highest concentration. If you want me to explain the other ingredients, please let me know in the comments section below.

  3. Thank you for the review. At the moment I don’t think I would use this product since I have mature, dry and sensitive skin. I’m sure it’s a good serum, but I have to pay attention not only to what I use but also to potentially damaging mixes between different skincare products. Learning to read the ingredients or honest reviews is vital, we can avoid losing hard gained improvement in our overall skin health, not to mention repairing the damage caused by harsh ingredients.

  4. I wouldn’t use it (unless it was gifted to me then i would edit it and post my honest thoughts) just for the simple fact that it costs over $80! For ONE product?! Not this girl! Anyway, I love peptides. Good article.

  5. Great detailed review. I’ve been really educating myself ab ingredients in skincare and been kinda leaning toward less ingredients in my skincare products but some brands know how to use and formulate/harvest the ingredients properly, so only the good parts are what affects your skin…doe that make sense? A lot of people see things like coconut oil and run! It all depends on the quality of the product

    1. I also prefer short ingredients lists, it makes it harder to hide scilicones in them Yes, when the ingredients are mixed together their chemical structure are changed but it’s also good to know especially if you have sensitive skin, this way you can look are what irritants are common in different products that you use to know what to avoid.
