Happy Skincare Sunday luvs,
Everyone knows I love K beauty, but recently I stumbled upon a new Korean Skincare brand called DEARBOO. I reached out to them and they sent me some of their amazing products to try! Here’s my thoughts on the DEARBOO face masks I posted about last week.
Lavender & Cactus:
This mask is really good to hydrate your skin. If you have dehydrated but oily skin, this is the mask for you. They use, extract from the Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem which has high water levels. The lavender soothes your skin. I personally have dehydrated and oily skin in the summer and this mask as helped my skin remain moisturized without over producing oils. It dramatically reduced my breakouts caused by clogged pores (from the excess oils).
Collagen & Canola Flower:
This mask is perfect for those with a busy lifestyle and unbalanced diet. Yes, your food and lifestyle affects your skin tremendous. You skin is an organ and it requires proper nutrition to function properly. Collagen is the protein responsible for for maintaining your skin’s integrity, firmness and elasticity! It is important to make sure that your skin has all the collagen it needs to avoid sagging and the development of wrinkles! The Canola Flower extract has a high level of fatty acids which is very nutritious for your skin. Together these two are a great meal for for your skin! This mask left my skin feeling plump and soft as a baby’s skin. I highly recommend this one for when you’re traveling and not eating well balanced meals.
Rose & Green Tea:
This mask has one of my favourite skincare vitamin. Vitamin-C ! Pulling all nighters in college, baby keeping you up at night, working a lot and your body is just tapped out? This mask is for you! If you are not getting enough sleep, it can leave your skin tired and looking dull. Vitamin C’s high antioxidants, brightens and help correct hyperpigmentation in your skin and even your skin tone. The rose extract also revitalizes and brightens your skin. This mask leaves your skin glowing like a pregnant woman!
Lily & Charcoal:
When I first joined instagram, everyone was raving about charcoal! It was really odd to me as I thought charcoal was for barbecue and never would I have imagined that it was a skincare super ingredient. It turns out that activated charcoal draws out bacteria, chemicals, dirt and other impurities to the surface of the skin to help reduce acne and give you a flawless complexion! The extract from the Lily (my favourite flower btw) alleviates skin irritation. This mask is amazing for acne prone, irritated and sensitive skin! I think this mask is great for teenagers, young adults and anyone struggles with acne as part of their skin care regiment.
Sunflower & Aloe:
This is the best summer mask. Lately, I’ve been walking 4 miles+ a day in blazing hot sun. Despite sunscreen, my skin was irritated and burning a bit. This mask soothes your skin remarkably. I’ve even used the excess from the packets on my shoulders which are the most irritated after my walks. Sunflower seed oil is rich in vitamin E, A, C & D. In addition to all these vitamins, it’s also high in fatty acids. It is great to regenerate new skin! The Aloe Barbadensis Extract has anti inflammatory uses but is most popularly used to sooth skin affected by the sun. Together they soothe sensitive skin affected by UV rays.
NOTE: I recommend this mask for skin irritated by the sun not sun burnt skin.
Snail & Cherry Blossom:
Did you know Cherry Blossom Extract promotes smooth even toned skin? Yup! It’s official name is Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract, and it’s amazing to moisturize your skin, and leave it with a glow. Snail Secretion Filtrate helps your skin cells produce collagen and elastin. Snail Secretion Filtrate has been used in beauty routines tracing back to Ancient Greece, and this beauty secret has made a come back in K beauty culture. Together they revitalize you skin leaving it looking plum and bright!
These wonderful masks are made in Korea but you can find them here in the US at your local TJMAXX!
Which one of these are you dying to try? Comment below and let me know!
