So after my trip to Trinidad everything sort of got overwhelming. It’s always bitter sweet to visit Trinidad. I absolutely love it and my family is amazing and I always wind up thinking, what would my life be like if I was still living here. My dad lives in Trinidad and now that he is getting older seeing him once a year is certainly not enough. It always breaks my heart to leave home but for many reasons New York is a better place for me to be.

Now that we all know why I have been absent let’s try to get me back in the swing of things. I posted about Nudu Natural Beauty a few weeks ago and I feel like I didn’t do justice on instagram. I appreciate the simplistic yet elegant packaging, it’s not over done but it certainly is pleasing to the eye. Today I will talk about their: cream cleanser,  reviving toner,  gentle moisturizer,  eye cream and overnight radiance renew cream!

The Nudu Cream Cleanser:
Gentle cleansers are often made with oils that keep them from drying out your skin. The nudu cream cleanser  contains peach oil, almond oil, castor bean oil, coconut oil and jojoba oil.  Most people may be think wait what the?… after seeing so many oils listed as ingredients in their cleansers but what is the best diy make up remover? Coconut oil. Oils are great at removing make up and dirt.  This cleanser is perfect for those of us with normal to dry skin especially in the winter. It is made for all skin type but I personally cannot talk about great products for oily skin as my skin is always on the dryer end except for August.

The Nudu Reviving toner:
Toner is a great second step in cleansing to made sure you removed all your make up. Make up is very stubborn and if it’s 18hr long wear, you probably didn’t remove all of it in the two minutes you washed your face. Unfortunately toner is tricky to use if you have very dry skin like me. Toner is a second cleansing step or basically a leave on cleanser.  What I like about this toner is that it contains lots of cooling, soothing and moisturizing ingredients: oats and aloe vera extract. It also contains an amazing blend of New Zealand botanicals (we can safely bet that our body does not naturally get all the nutritional values that these extracts have to offer on a daily basis). This is my favorite part about trying international products. They are often made with ingredients that you have never tried in your life. Each of these new ingredients that you expose yourself to, introduces your system to a new variety of nutrition!

This toner is made with:

The Nudu Gentle Moisturizer:
Let’s be honest, if you have severely dry skin, there isn’t a cleanser on the planet that is gentle enough for you to skip your moisturizer. Heck, sometimes we moisturize several times between cleansing. The Nudu Gentle Moisturizer is made with one of our favorite oils, jojoba oil! This is a great moisturizer and it contains many of the same oils as the cleanser so the system works well together. This moisturizer also contains coffee and tea extracts, other oils, and vitamin C. Not only does it hydrate your skin, it is also a good anti aging cream. I use this as a day moisturizer under my make up. This moisturizer is great to keep your face hydrated without making your make up melt off your face.

The Nudu Eye Cream:
I have major dark circles and wrinkles around my eyes. Honestly I cannot remember the last time I had a good night sleep.  Between pregnancies, kids, work, obstructed airways, etc, it seems like for years there was always something to interrupt my sleep. and my eyes show it. The ingredients in this eye cream hydrates and nourishes the delicate skin around your eyes to improve elasticity. You get healthier skin which is always better for smoother eye make up.

The Nudu Overnight Radiance Renew Cream:
This is amazing! I sometimes use it in the day when I know I won’t wear any make up just because it’s so good. It does reduce wrinkle and fine lines (over time after lengthy and consistent use). It’s made with many of my favorite skincare ingredients: Avocado oil, jojoba seed oil and aloe vera leaf juice. If you are starting to show signs on aging, this is a good night cream to switch to because prevention is better than cure. Just bare in mind that I am 26 so anti signs of aging I have a mild and fairly recent. If you have years of skin damage or deep set wrinkles it may take longer to work for you and you definitely won’t have the same result.

Overall this system developed in New Zealand is one of my favorites. If you don’t wear make up often you can skip the toner. And if you are on a budget and had to chose between the moisturizer and over night cream, go with the overnight cream and get a cheaper moisturizer. If you are on a really tight budget the two most beneficial products in this line is the eye cream and the radiance over night cream.
