Pili Ani, made from The Chosen Tree

Hi Luvs

Today I want to introduce you to a brand I discovered right before my vacation, Pili Ani. Pili Ani is made with oil from the Pili tree. I really like the story behind Pili Ani, Rosalina Tan created Pili Ani in an effort to help Pili Farmers in the Phillipines.  Now often these tales hide exploitation of locals for their resources BUT  Pili Ani has Pili Literacy programs to provide knowledge to farmers and their families, and their partnership with Bicol farmers is built upon fair trade practices.

Pili nut is recognized by some as the world’s healthiest nuts and I would agree with them. Pili nuts contain ALL amino acids and functions as a complete protein. But the nutritional value of pili nuts do not end there. Pili nuts have the highest Magnesium content when compared with ANY other nut in the world and it is rich in potassium, calcium, fats and phosphorous. With its extensive nutritional value, you can expect great things from the oils extracted from this nut. Pili Nut Kernel Oil is claimed to be healthier than the olive oil.

Pili oil products is just what our beauty routines have been missing. I tried some of their products and this is what I think of it.

Pili Ani – Intense Hydrating Facial Oil is made with: Pili oil (Canarium ovatum), caprylic/capric triglycerides, coconut oil (Cocos nucifera), linoleic acid, linolenic acid, glyceryl caprylate, glyceryl undecylenate, diheptyl succinate, capryloyl glycerine/sebacic acid copolymer, phenoxyethanol, hypoallergenic fragrance, elemi essential oil (Canarium commune), ethylhexylglycerin

This oil is so hydrating that one pump (drop) is all you need. It dries quickly so your face does not look oily. If you struggle with dry skin like me, you need this. It is a bit expensive but the benefits are worth it. I use this as my under make up moisturizer. It keeps my skin hydrated and smooth so my make up looks flawless all day long. One of my biggest struggle with make up is skin that dries out as time passes which makes my make up look dry, creased, and caked on. With Pili Ani intense hydrating face serum, my make up look gets a longer face life without need for me to path in moisturizer on top of my makeup. Trust me it is not an easy project to hydrate dry peeling skin without messing up your make up that you spent hours blending, contours, highlighting, etc.  I will never be without this magic potion again!

Pili Ani Beauty Elixir Facial Milk Serum is made with Water, pili oil (Canarium ovatum), glycerine, beta-glucan, glyceryl stearate, Akebia quinata extract, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, caprylic/capric triglycerides, hydrolyzed corn starch, beet root extract (Beta vulgaris), phenoxyethanol, Eucheuma spinosum extract, xanthan gum, hypoallergenic fragrance, elemi essential oil (Canarium commune), ethylhexylglycerin

This little potion stimulates collagen production which improves skin elasticity and firms up your skin. This is a must have for women like me who have recently lost a bit of weight and are waiting for their skin for firm up, those of us with a bit of a double chin, older women whose skin is struggling against the weight of gravity, etc. The Beauty Elixir Facial Milk Serum contains Elemi essential oil, which has been used in beauty products for centuries, Elemi oil is noted for reducing fine lines and wrinkles. And if my memory on Ancient History is accurate, it was used by the Egyptians as part of the balming process. And we are still in awe of how well the Egyptians preserved dead skin. Elemi oil also comes from a tree native to the Philippines. This oil is slowly making my skin firmer. And yes I did try it on my post-pregnancy stomach and this one bottle has made more progress that 5 bottles of bio oil, 2 bottles of argan oil, shea body butter, argan body butter, vitamin E oil, etc. But I’m going to need a few more bottles to finish the process.

Pili Ani Natural Radiance Facial Moisturizer Cream is made with: Water, pili oil (Canarium ovatum), Caprylic/capric triglycerides, glyceryl stearate, glycerine, stearyl alcohol, papaya extract (Carica papaya), pentylene glycol, madecassoside, Tuber magnatum extract, caprylate, glyceryl undecylenate, diheptyl succinate, capryloyl glycerine/sebacic acid copolymer, phenoxyethanol, sodium acrylates/ beheneth-25 methacrylate crosspolymer, hydrogenated polydecene, lauryl glucoside, ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, hypoallergenic fragrance, elemi essential oil (Canarium commune), ethylhexylglycerin

This is basically all my skincare needs in one bottle. I struggle with dry skin, uneven pigmentation and way to many wrinkles for someone my age. This cream hydrates you skin, brightens uneven skin tone and  gives your skin a nice smooth texture. This recipe contains, Pili oil, Elemi oil, Vitamin C, natural papaya and white truffle extract. Papaya is knows to remove dead skin and inactive proteins which leaves you with rejuvenated and glowing skin. White truffles is also a super ingredient breaking into the beauty world. It is a fungi which makes them high in minerals and vitamins necessary for your skin’s renewal process. Truffle oils are high in carbohydrates which is a word we don’t often hear about in skin care. Many skin care products focus on proteins and fatty acids which are important. But, with the current stigma surrounding carbohydrates and weight gain, many have cut it out of their diets extensively. Carbohydrates fight free radicals, and give you health glowing skin. White truffles is an expensive source of health carbohydrates.

Pili Ani has definitely earned its spot on my vanity and it will be there for a long time. The beauty world needs to keep an eye on the Philippines, because something tells me that more great things are coming. They have so many great ingredients native to their country, Pili Ani is just one of the first brands to break into the US market.

Pili Ani will be giving away 1 bottle of Youthful Glow Serum to one of you next, month!

If you try Pili Ani, share your experience with us!

Stay Beautiful,

XOXO

Avi
